“Another flaw in the human character is that everybody wants to build and nobody wants to do maintenance.”

Kurt Vonnegut

This website is built by a rank amateur (who is trying really hard) on a mix of Skeleton “A dead simple, responsive boilerplate”, good ol' Bootstrap, and a smattering of custom bits, usually written in PHP.

I owe a ton of gratitude to Jessica Hische, and her project Don’t Fear the Internet for giving me the impetus to build my own site from scratch — mostly.

I began writing the site as a student in Denver, Colorado circa 2010. As of September 2019, I live and work in London, UK.

My hosting provider is Fat Cow. They are awesome.

The site is set in Crimson Text designed by Sebastian Kosch and hosted on Google Fonts. It is “a font family for book production in the tradition of beautiful oldstyle typefaces… with all the little niceties like oldstyle figures, small caps, fleurons, math characters and the like.”

If you're a dork, I keep track of the development of this site on the ChangeLog and Design System Pages.

First edition. 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2 — umpteenth revision.
